It's been 6 months!!

I can't believe it's been 6 months that we've lived here! Time really flew! Here's some updated pictures of our house (The Florence). Today the cleaning lady came = good day to take pictures!! There's still lots of painting we want to do and some more decorating. Now that summer is over, we plan on spending time putting on some finishing touches.

Columbia Gas - new houses & possible defective pipes

See article here: Columbia Gas issue

The defective pipe was installed between November 2009 and August 2010, almost all for new construction or replacement, with the work done by Columbia and subcontractors. The 17,600 customers affected in Ohio represent a little more than 1 percent of all Columbia customers in the state. In addition, the pipe was used by Columbia's sister companies in four other states - Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Maryland and Virginia - affecting a total of 28,300 customers, including those in Ohio.

Please call your builder & gas supplier - this could affect you. I'll be calling tomorrow - since my house is serviced by Columbia and construction began January 2010.

Summer Water Bill

I was expecting our water bill to be high because of all the watering necessary with the new lawn and because it's been really HOT and dry this summer. Well........I about died when I saw how much that water bill ended up being......... $360!!! That really SUCKED! It was for June 8 - August 16. Think twice about putting your lawn in during the summer. Lesson learned.
